Chase Rice’s new music video premiered on CMT yesterday, and it’s a great one! Most of us know Rice as a rowdy party kind of guy, but this video definitely shows off his softer side! Gonna Wanna Tonight was released to radio in November, but is currently not on the Top 40 Charts… I think that this video will change that. While I don’t foresee another number 1 like Ready Set Roll, I do appreciate Rice’s contribution to the country music world. There isn’t a single song on his CD that I don’t love and sing along to! (I’ve also seen him in concert at least twice, if not 3 times!)
Whoever directed this video deserves an A+!
He goes on tour this summer with Kenny Chesney’s Big Revival Tour (select dates) and if you get the chance, PLEASE go see him live! He will blow you away! Chase Rice owns the stage and rocks the crowd, and though he already does have a huge following, seeing him live will seal the deal for you that he’s going big places as an artist and performer this year.
Chase was also selected as a semi-finalist for the ACM’s “New Artist of the Year” category, and I’m willing to bet he goes on to the second round! The first round of fan voting begins on January 27th on voteACM.com and his competition is tough; Brett Eldredge and Kip Moore are long time fan favorites and up-and-comer Sam Hunt is sure to do well also. Personally, I also adore Cole Swindell and Thomas Rhett, so I’m honestly going to have to vote for a different artist every day. On a six day rotation… Brett, Kip, Chase, Sam, Cole, T. Rhett… oh boy!
