Thomas Rhett‘s sophomore album is largely inspired by Bruno Mars! TheBoot.com wrote up a great article that you can read here! T. Rhett has been known to cover a few Bruno Mars songs during his set. Country music took home some big wins at the iHeart Radio awards last night! Taylor Swift walked away from the night with 3 awards, in the Best Lyrics, Song of the Year and Artist of the Year categories.

Jason Aldean had a busy week! Last weekend he married Brittany Kerr and last night he took home the award for Country Song of the Year.
Brantley Gilbert also walked away with the Renegade Award. “This year, iHeartRadio introduced a brand new category: The Renegade Award. Renegade nominees defy convention and let their instincts rule. These emerging standout artists are boundary breakers, willing to take risks while staying true to themselves. They explore new sounds – they not only break external boundaries but their own personal boundaries, as well; creating new music lanes distinctly their own; artists with the talent and spirit to separate from the pack. They are authentic, they are passionate, and they are willing to stretch the limits to do something extraordinary. In other words… they are renegades.” (Copied from iHeart Radio)
That’s all for now! Until next time, country music lovers! ❤
